How do groups work? |

Groups are used to separate data access permissions for different types of users.
There are two types of users in Mobile Data Now
1. Named Users: When a named user send a query to Mobile Data Now, they are authenticated before any data is sent. 2. Public Messaging: When anyone sends a query to Mobile Data Now, they are not authenticated before data is sent.
Groups define which data can be accessed.
For example, you could setup permissions like the following:
Administrators: Access to everything Sales: Access to Customers, Orders, Products, Sales Technical: Access to Customers, Orders, Products, Support Tickets Supplier: Access to Products and stock levels only. Public Messaging Group: Access to product names, description and stock levels only. |
