We got another release out today, just some small but important bug fixes. First of all connecting to MS SQL 2005 - we had the URL slightly wrong and the queries didn't work with the way some of the tables were formatted. Also, we fixed a bug where timeouts in the GUI would happen with large amounts of tables and fields when creating a view.
Next we're re-factoring the whole messaging queries GUI as the GUI is a bit clunky and has some strange behaviour. It's really the only slow bit and requires less data than the other areas so once we've sorted that out, it should run without any slowness and pecularities at all. We've learned a lot about OpenLaszo and optimized a lot, so this is probably the last bit which needs to be sped up.
Adele gets back from holiday on Monday so her and Julie can get to work on these improvements. Then Adele can do the SMS gateway and Julie can finish the SOAP web services. This will all be in version 1.4
The next minor version 1.3.2 will have these bugs and optimizations plus an event log which Ryan created so you can now view all the backend server events from within the GUI.
I've had a few contacts from parties interested in offering a new way to interact with data through Mobile Data Now. One using Natural Language Processing which is a nice easy way of writing natural langauge and other other using actual voice processing. Both I think are the way things are going in the future.
Otherwise, I've been busy chasing up potential resellers and partners. It's all keeping me quite busy!
